William Gardoski is 56 years old, and lives with his wife of 25 years in
Meridian Idaho, just outside of Boise.
He has drawn and painted most of his adult life, but not full time untill an
accident in 1992 while working as a long haul driver, when his right leg was
amputated. From then on it has been a full time profession, usually involving
8 to 10 hours a day 6 days a week. He works on 10-12 paintings at a time. All
of his work is in oil on canvas, and with few exceptions involves mechanical
subjects, trains, aircraft, cars, ships or historical subjects.
At this time there are no prints of any of his work, something he hopes to
change in the future, but for now all work is "one of a kind" on archival
canvas.
Many awards including a "purchase award" at the western Idaho fair. One
painting a year is bought by the fair and in 2000 his Boise Depot with UP
E-9 was purchased. Many "peoples choice" awards in all shows, firsts and
seconds at all showings.
Most of his work is sold within a few weeks of completion, and can be found
from New York to California.
Resonably priced for original works, this will be a collectable artist some
day.
He does commission work, and special requests, and can deliver within 45
days of accepting the commission.
